Apostle NKURUNZIZA François

The blessing of God-fearing people

Malachi 2:17, 3:1-18; “You have wearied the LORD with your words; Yet you say, “In what way have we wearied Him?” In that you say, “Everyone who does evil Is good in the sight of the LORD, And He delights in them,” Or, “Where is the God of justice?...Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me…They shall be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.” Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him”.

Between the prophet Malachi and the New Testament there has been a huge silence; there are 400 years between Malachi and John the Baptist. This explains the wickedness of Israel and hopelessness of the upright people; the wicked were boasting of their wickedness and the righteous were starting to be discouraged, regretting and thus complaining of doing righteousness as they were witnessing the wicked prospering.

But God tells them that, it all has an end, the wicked shall pay for their wickedness and the righteous shall be spared and be blessed from God, whereby God will make a difference between the righteous and those who do not obey God.

It seems to be the case with the Born again Christians of today. They sacrifice to honor and obey God in whatever they do, they fast, they give offerings and tithes; they pass many sleepless nights worshipping and serving God.

But be watchful Children of God! God does never ignore all of what you have sacrificed for His name’s sake and His glory; God is preparing greater blessing for you, there is a day when God will bring to an end all of the wicked boasts. If only you could know the end of the wicked people you would never envy their dirty possessions.

God does never say that blessed are those with a lot of possessions but blessed are those who fear God. There is a day and it is not far when God will honor His children and condemn the rebellious. God promises mercy to His beloved Children and those who fearfully serve Him.

Malachi 3:19-21; “For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the LORD of hosts, “That will leave them neither root nor branch… You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” Says the LORD of hosts”

Today, we need to repent for having envied the evil end, to having envied the short time glory while there are immeasurable blessings that God is keeping for His beloved children, all we need is patience and we will witness the favour of God. In fact, it is a great and unique opportunity to having received the grace of serving God and the great glory is awaiting us, who have believed in Jesus Christ and obedient to His unfailing word.
