Pursue your path of Salvation

It is always easy to start but it is never easy to finish, because by just starting one has not yet faced the challenges ahead.

It is not a question of starting but of how one ends this journey. Many have started but they failed to finish. Peoples like Demas as described by Paul among others have failed to finish the journey they engaged themselves into. However, God has never planned to not finish this Salvation journey, it is up to us to endure and consider the end than the start.

2 Timothy 4:10; “…for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica…”

What most of the people ignore before they start, is that every journey, every engagement needs planning and a close attention to whatever may come on the way.

We shouldn’t just follow Jesus, because of others, because of anyone or any influence other than that of Jesus Christ Himself.

Luke 14:28-31; “…what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?”

Before deciding to follow Jesus, you have to sit and count the possible consequences and implications, gains and losses. Because, for one to inherit the promises in Christ, there are several battles and there is no way to escape.

Hebrews 2:1; “Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.”

What have we heard? We have heard the Good news of Jesus Christ; we have heard that Jesus Christ is the only name to salvation; you have heard that the world is already condemned and that whoever loves this world there is no eternal life in them, and so on and so forth.

You should attach yourself to all these words and never depart from them; practice those words that have given you the Hope that never deceives, the liberty, the joy in your daily life, at school, at work, in your family, etc. these are the words you found in the Bible.

Do not start today by deviating and modifying the truth of the Bible according to the lust of the today’s world.

You ought to be a child of God, from wherever and whenever; whether in good or bad days. Know and stick to the Jesus Christ, who called and chose you from the crowd of the gentiles. Pursue your path of salvation and you shall reap the fruits of eternal life and with the non-damaging reward of the Most High God.
