feed your faith

Apostle NKURUNZIZA François

Mathew 6:25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?”

Anxiety is more than just complaints, it is a negative force that changes your emotional behavior. It is the devil’s weapon of mass destruction. Anxiety is an open door to fear, when the devil sows anxiety in your heart; he expects to reap fear of the future. Fear of the future brings panic and panic produces weakness in front of the various challenges of life.

Why do we worry?
We worry simply because there are circumstances that get out of our control. If we had the ability to be in absolute control of every situation; we would never have to experience anxiety. It is the circumstances and hardships we face daily that bring about worries regarding the future; since we do not have control over the future, our thoughts generate worries leading to fear.

Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

There is a link between anxiety and the kingdom of God; the Kingdom of God is the only place where anxiety is not found. In the kingdom, there is no room for worry, there is Life through faith and where faith is, anxiety is no more. If the pursuit of the Kingdom of God becomes your priority, you have found the way out.

Luke 17:21 “… For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

The Kingdom of God, as many believe, is not only the one we are awaiting which is to come. Yes, there is the Kingdom to come but meanwhile, Jesus has through the Holy Spirit brought to us its first fruits; the Kingdom is within us.

By my natural birth; we were born in the kingdom of anxiety but through salvation we were born in the Kingdom of God. I may not know what the future holds but I know that Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega; He has absolute control over everything. I will not grieve my Lord by being a slave to worries and anxiety, but will have in faith in Him who controls my future. My tomorrow is guaranteed in Jesus; the future belongs to me.
