BAPTISM AT BETHEL CHURCH REMERA
Matthew 28: 19-20; “Go therefore[c] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen
Today at Bethel Church Remera there was a baptism in plenty water, whereby 39 new born believers, who after having received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, took a step to fulfilling the commandment of Baptism as Jesus Christ said.
Apostle François Nkuruziza, who led this act, exhorted the children of God who committed themselves to be baptized after having passed from the six months of discipleship teachings. He started by congratulating them of this decisive step they have taken and reminded them to never live in compromise or trying to copy from the world.
We baptize in plenty water not only to walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ our Lord but also as a sign of dying and resurrecting with Him. Baptism is not an option for a Christian but one of the vital steps for pilgrims, Apostle concluded with a word of encouragement imploring those who were baptized to always work to increasing the good and acceptable works to be remembered before the Lord. The event continued with a fellowship and was concluded with a word of prayer
